Camiel Becker to Train Lawyers Across the US on Employment-Based Strategies for DACA and TPS Recipients

Partner Camiel Becker will speak on a national webinar titled “DACA and TPS Under Attack: Using Employment-Based Strategies to Obtain a More Secure Status” on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM PST (2:00 pm ET). That national American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) based out of Washington, DC, is hosting the webinar for immigration lawyers across the US. Camiel will join John C. Lemacks II of Los Angeles and Jennifer L. West of Richmond, Virginia on the nationwide online training. The panelists will teach lawyers how to develop strategies to help companies secure more stable immigration status for their employees with TPS and DACA.  The webinar will also cover dual representation, evaluating non-immigrant visa options (such as the H-1b), waivers of inadmissibility and evaluating eligibility for Adjustment of Status.

As a founding partner at Becker & Lee LLP, Camiel has found creative solutions to help TPS beneficiaries and DACA recipients obtain employment-based green cards. He has also helped clients obtain non-immigrant visas (like the H-1B visa) at consulates using 212(d)3 waivers to overcome the ten-year unlawful presence bar and other grounds of inadmissibility.
