On August 10, 2014, Camiel Becker, partner at Becker & Lee LLP, spoke to a group of more than 50 scientists and researchers at the American Chemical Society’s National Meeting and Exposition in San Francisco. Mr. Becker presented an overview of both temporary visa and permanent residency options for scientists and researchers. The American Chemical Society (ASC), a non-for-profit organization, is the largest scientific association in the world. The ASC is based in Washington, DC and has two national meetings a year, with roughly 15,000 attendees per meeting.
Mr. Becker is a founding partner at Becker & Lee LLP and is certified as a specialist in immigration and nationality law by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Becker represents a number of companies and individuals in the employment-based immigration context, including mid- and small-sized businesses, researchers and scientists and IT professionals.
